Born at Village Belavanaki of Ron Taluk in District Gadag, Karnataka State on 4, June 1935.
Education:
1. Primary education at Belvanaki and Naregal (Mulki Exam in 1947)
2. Secondary education A) Vijaya Mahantesh High School, Hungund and B) Muncipal High School, Gadag Passed SSC in 1953 with first class.
3. Passed F.Y and S.Y with first class from Karnataka College Dharwad in the year 1956.
4. Passed B.V.Sc. from the prestigious Bombay Veterinary College in 1961.
5. Visited The Russian Research and Scientific Institute North Kavkasas Stavropol (Moscow) and completed P.G. Course in Frozen Semen Technology in Sheep and Goat breeding under Indo-USSR protocol 1975.
6. A certificate course in Planning and Management of Livestock Development in NIRD Hyberabad in 1990.
7. Underwent Administrative training in Mysore.
8. Participated in training in Extension Principles in UAS Hyderabad.
